Are We a Good Fit?
A few qualities I've found in successful client relationships.
You Have Goals
Boring, I know, but if you don’t know where you’re going you’ll have no idea you’ve arrived if and when you get there. I've found the best projects are the ones that tie into a solid strategy.
If you don’t have clear goals, or you’re not prepared to work with me to define them, this probably won't work.
You Know Your Target Audience
It might hurt to hear, but your business isn't about you. It is about the people you serve. If you don't know who that is, then your activity can easily devolve into a vanity exercise.
If you don’t already have an audience you should be prepared to build one. This is a serious exercise that takes commitment.
You Have Endurance
Building an audience online is hard work and it takes time. Passion is the fuel you need to get your project started. But, endurance is what is going to keep you on track when the shiny wears off.
If you don't have a lot of endurance, you will probably grow tired of the work that it takes to be great.
You Have a Team
All of the projects that we might do together take a good deal of input from you. It is a good idea to have a support system in place.
It could be as simple as a virtual assistant to help out a few hours a week or a fully-fledged content production team, either way you’re going to need help.
You Have a Budget
If you are willing to significantly invest in the success of your business, then I am willing to invest my knowledge and talents in helping you succeed. I don’t work for equity, I don’t cut corners, and I don't compete on price.
You don’t need to re-mortgage your house but you are going to need to treat this as an investment and if you follow my strategies, you’ll get a positive return.
You Have Time to Invest
I am extremely deadline oriented. I expect my clients to be, as well. That means that delivery of content for projects, or homework for coaching is turned in at the agreed upon times.
You will need space on your calendar so you can invest time in making sure your project goals are met on time. If you are feeling time-constricted, coaching to help you figure out your priorities may be the best place to start.
You are a High Performer...or You Want to Be
You may have heard the saying by Jim Rohn, "we are the average of the five people we are around most." I choose to surround myself with high performers, or people who aspire to high performance. That doesn't mean you have to be a gold medalist. It does mean that you have grit and determination. It means you have a positive outlook on life. It means that you work everyday to make your goals a reality. You are strongly empathetic and understand that personal integrity underpins all true success. In short, you are going somewhere. If this sounds like you, we may be a good fit. If it doesn't, but you sure wish it did, you may be interested in coaching.
